Alberobello

This UNESCO heritage site is a small town built on two hills, almost entirely made up of small trulli (plural of trullo).

In between all these little gnome houses are cobblestone streets that wind their way through the village. Maps are definitely an asset.

Some of these trulli are still used as private homes, and some are restaurants of gift shops.

But they are all truly beautiful trulli.  Truly!!

There's even a trullo church.  Here is the alter.

Quick break for lunch, yes - in a trullo restaurant.

Very beautiful village.  Alberobollo - not to be missed if you ever in the area.
